Pua Po’o

This is an exception to the hikes on Big Island Hikes. Exploring Pua Po'o in Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park requires a Ranger-led guide, and the cost is $60 per person.

The hike begins inside Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park and travels to this pristine lava tube.

The Friends of Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park has a program called Wild Caves Exploration Institute that administers this unique program. Sign up at their website.
